Introduce a new custom script, beadm, modeled after the one from
Solaris, to manage and activate ZFS boot environments.  This will be
used to perform safe image-based updates.

The xattrs are especially important for filecaps needed by
/sbin/unix_chkpwd.

We can't use full device paths because we don't know in advance whether
the rpool is encrypted.  Filesystem labels can only store 16 bytes or
so, so truncate the hostname part of the label to eight characters.

Improve rsync performance over WAN links.

The swap label can only hold 15 characters, making it less useful for
systems with long hostnames.  The underlying device name is already
persistent so there is no need to use filesystem labels.

This removes a section of the grub config that tries to search for the
rootfs.img partition, which is contained in a squashfs and not visible,
so it causes a warning message and slight delay at boot.

Starting to modify it for the new Stage 3 images.
